Pop Down The Rabbit Hole among the Top Albums of 2011 according to SYFFAL!

It is like the best movie soundtrack ever but by one dude. Think of Elliot Smith making voyeur porn with The Beatles and emotional stability. I would let this Italian bastard’s voice get to second base for sure.

Thank you, Tim!

Wheels and Love among “The best 100 songs of 2011” according to Rockit

Read the lyrics of Wheels and Love and listen to the new album on Youtube!

In response to the many (well, maybe just a few) who've been asking for the lyrics of my songs, I decided to upload the entire new album on Youtube, along with lyrics (so you can sing along) and a few notes.
Here are the lyrics of the opening track:

Wheels and Love
Let the rain fall out on the way
Let the birds play their secret game
It seems so clear
Just sitting here

See the kisses fly through the ring
See the bicycles cross the street
I wait for you
Just sitting here
and watch the wheels and love outside the window

Notes:
I wrote “Wheels and Love” in my garden, on a sunny September morning, while the birds were singing in the trees. Kind of a dreamy picture. I recorded the first half of the song singing and playing directly in my mobile phone, in the garden, and then added the rest of the arrangement in my home studio. Actually, I don’t know why I wrote a melancholy song in such a beautiful morning.

An interview with Alberto Arcangeli: the musical maestro behind Pop Down The Rabbit Hole

"He blends genres and styles in a totally inimitable way, all by himself. From the dreamy pop of Wheels and Love to the psychedelic title track Pop Down The Rabbit Hole, this album is a real gem."

Interview on SYFFAL by Tim Baker!

"Songs that slip and slide and twist in ways you never expected a song to move. Lyrics that comfort and move you, song writing that makes you forsake your god, family and country for a chance to hear the next chord.
If I could adopt an Italian, even if just for one day, it would be Alberto Arcangeli so I could show him how great hamburgers taste."

Review on BEAT NEWS by Blue Bottazzi!

The Man Who Sold The World, dovreste ascoltare Pop Down The Rabbit Hole dell’italiano Alberto Arcangeli. [...] Ascoltatelo, potrebbe essere una bella sorpresa. Per me lo è stato."

Rockit's review for English speakers

The songs are like melodic mantras. The attitude is just right. The years of experience make themselves felt. The originality of the harmonic creativity is invaluable and cannot be left unmentioned. Yes, the delicate inspiration of Alberto Arcangeli has finally found a home, after an anxious wait, in a new musical creation, vivid and complete, a rare balance of memories, confessions and romantic storytelling.

Wheels and Love - New song and video

Watch the Video of “Wheels and Love”, the first single from the upcoming album
The video is by artist/animator Massimo Ottoni.
I love Massimo’s work and I think he is a genius. But let’s not tell him or it’ll give him a swelled head. He used an experimental animation technique called “paint-on-glass” (every single frame is hand painted on glass) and he’s been locked away in his camera room for months. Hope you like it too.
I recorded the first half of the song singing and playing directly in my mobile phone, in the garden, and then added the rest of the arrangement in my home studio.

New interview (in italian) on Distrazioni Sonore by Patrizio Longo
